Greetings!

Continuing a tradition of almost 70 years, the Bergen County American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary are hosting the annual George F. Axt Memorial Fund dinner to benefit scholarships awarded to nursing school applicants. The event will be held on Friday, September 10, 2021, at Joseph M. Lane American Legion Post 136 in Lodi.

A World War One veteran and life member of The American Legion, George F. Axt belonged to American Legion Post 78 in Englewood and served as Bergen County Commander in 1952. While County Commander, he originated the “Bergen County Legion & Auxiliary Fund” to raise money for nursing school scholarships. Upon his death, the name of the fund was changed to the “George F. Axt Memorial Fund” in his honor.

Be part of shaping the next generation of New Jersey nurses…our frontline healthcare heroes! Reserve your seat at the September 10 dinner today! A dinner flyer and placemat ad form are attached. Hope to see you there!
